Iron + Earth approached Dream It Creations to document their Renewable Skills Initiative Introductory Camp, designed for youth aged 16–19. The camp, located in Blairmore, Alberta, focuses on equipping participants with renewable energy skills and fostering a passion for sustainability. This summer camp gave us the chance to meet and learn alongside an inspiring group of young people.

Challenges
The main challenge was the extensive travel involved. Flying into Calgary from Vancouver meant packing light to meet airline restrictions — a real logistical constraint for our filming equipment. From there, it was another hour and a half by road to reach the camp in Blairmore. We adapted seamlessly, making sure the gear and planning were in place to deliver a high-quality final product.
Results
The project resulted in a 4-minute video highlighting Iron + Earth’s Renewable Skills Initiative and the transformative impact of their programs. The video showcases the enthusiasm of the participants, the expertise of the instructors, and Iron + Earth’s mission to educate and empower the next generation of renewable energy advocates.
